Welcome

My name is Tahir Bhatti and I am deeply grateful to my parents for teaching me at an early age the importance of laughter, love, kindness, compassion and connection; as well as the opportunity they both provided me for self-reflection on the meaning of life and death. Their influence on my life has been instrumental in my work. My life’s work for the last 31 years has been focused on inspiring, empowering and supporting my clients to embrace their most loving and authentic self, which I also call their True Self or True Nature. I have been honored to provide this service through my Life Coaching, Meditation teachings and Human Design readings to my clients. I obtained my undergraduate degree at Brown University, completed my medical training at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, began my residency at Rush Medical Center in Chicago and then completed my residency and a fellowship at the University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego) School of Medicine.

My own journey back to my True Self began while I

was training in my fellowship.

I began to have some physical issues which my doctor could not find any physical causes. He said it was stress related and this led me to pursue stress reduction classes. In the early 1990’s the holistic movement was growing in popularity and I was drawn to a Tai Chi class. After a few months of attending classes twice a week and practicing every day, I began to see improvement in my symptoms. I had such a dramatic change in my health that I decided to conduct studies on Complementary & Alternative Medicine during my Clinical Research Fellowship at UC San Diego (UCSD) in the mid 1990s. During that time I was awarded one of the first Fellowships to Explore Alternative Therapies in the UCSD School of Medicine. I studied the effect of t’ai chi chih in patients with chronic low back pain, stress and anxiety.

During my tai chi teachers training my heart cracked wide open

and love began to pour in. This was a time of deep healing.

I began to meditate on a consistent basis, practicing moving meditations, standing meditations, sitting meditations and also Mindfulness. I worked with acupuncturists, chiropractors, naturopaths, holistic healers, energy practitioners and body workers. I was honored to meet an Energy Healer, Timothy, who first worked on me with great benefit and then took me on as his apprentice. I was working during the day at my Psychopharmacology and Psychobiology Research Fellowship at UCSD and then during the evenings and weekends I was working as an Energy Healer. I also was introduced to a transformational tool called Human Design for self-discovery and personal growth. Applying Human Design strategies in my life allowed me to accept and love myself in ways I had not imagined. As my meditation practiced deepened, I began to notice significant changes in my lifestyle that were not forced, but more in alignment with how I was feeling internally.  I became less reactive, less angry and more loving and my diet began to shift towards healthy eating. My conversations and interactions with others began to shift as well, filled with inspiration and kindness.

This journey led me to meet Awake beings, my Guru

and His Holiness the Dalai Lamameetings which

radically altered my understanding of my True Self.

I feel truly humbled with the gift of being able to connect with an authentic Indian Guru. Someone who took me on as his student to teach me an ancient meditation practice that has been passed down from teacher to disciple for thousands of years to Awaken to our True Nature. This was something I had wished for since I was a young child; a spiritual teacher to guide me through the pitfalls and adversities of the spiritual path to Awakening. I was Baba's student from 2005 until 2017 when he passed and was gifted with weekly visits spent in his presence for Satsang. It was a time of deep growth where my ego was constantly being challenged and destroyed. This allowed me to move into deeper states of peace and connection during my meditations.

Prior to Baba's passing I had the unique and miraculous privilege of meeting with Michael Singer, who wrote the books The Untethered Soul and The Surrender Experiment. I have had the opportunity to spend time with him at his Temple of the Universe in Florida on many occasions and consider myself to be his student since 2015. Mickey’s advice took the meditation teachings from my Baba and made them so practical. He took ancient Vedic teachings and made them accessible for a modern day audience. I have integrated the wisdom of my parents, my Guru, and Mickey to create my Coaching philosophy and am honored to share these teaching with my clients, friends and family. My goal in life is to show up as my most loving and authentic self; and in my most humble way attempt to be a guide for others to do the same.
